Description: Located in the extreme west is noted for rhododendrons. It's a huge Rhododendron forest, is a must visit experience trip during the flowering season from mid march to April end. The whole forest is aflame with riot of Rhododendron Flowers with hues raging from blood red to pure white and against the back drop of the mountains it’s truly an unforgettable experience.

Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive at Bagdogra airport. On arrival meet, assist and drive to Gangtok 126 kms/5hrs. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight hotel.

Day 02 After breakfast visit Enchey Monastery, Government Institute of Cottage Industry.Dodrul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology,Rumtek Monastery situated 24kms from the city. Overnight hotel.

Day 03 After an early breakfast drive to Hilley and then walk through a lush forest of pines, firs and rhododendron to Versey.Overnight Tourist hut/Tent.(2840m/115 kms/4 hrs)

Day 04 Day halt at Versey:The entire day is spent in exploring the area and savouring the sight and the scent of the flowers.Overnight Tourist hut/Tent.

Day 05 After breakfast walk downhill to the village of Dentam (7kms) and drive to Pelling.In the evening visit the Pemayansgste Monastery. Overnight hotel.

Day 06 After breakfast drive to Khecheopalri lake which is also known as the wishing lake and is considered very sacred by the Sikkimese. A short walk to Sangachholing Monastery (2km./45mins) located on a hill top. O/N at hotel.

Day 07 After breakfast drive to Bagdogra airport for onward journey.
